Swans Crossing Swans Crossing – easy to moderate Swans Crossing in the Kerewong State Forest is a popular picnic and camping area reached by travelling along a 10-20 klm section of unsealed road. There are a number of walking trails into regenerating native forest and hardwood plantations. Also popular is the Longworths Tramway Heritage Walk located a short drive away. The trail follows the original logging tramline (1913) used to haul timber to the Camden Haven River where it was punted to a mill in Laurieton. Begin your walks from the Swans Crossing Picnic Area. To get there take Upsalls Creek Road via Comboyne Road 15 minutes out of Kendall.
The Swan family ran a dairy and beef property on the site for many years, including clearing the forest and establishing grasses for the stock. This continued until 1964 when the area became State forest. The area is now surrounded by regenerated native forest and hardwood plantations. Swimming is also popular in the nearby shallows of Upsalls

The Little Brewing Company We don’t compromise on ingredients and we make sure that they are plentiful in each batch. We couldn’t make the beer we are passionate about if we cut corners. Yep, we admit to being just a little bit fussy. It’s been quite a ride since we launched beer onto the market in July 2007. We won a gold medal in our first professional beer competition. We’ve taken a total of 18 medals across five national and international shows in 2008 and 2009. We’ve twice been named our local region’s Trades and Manufacturing Business of the Year (2007 and 2008), and in 2008 we were named our town’s Business of the Year and the region’s Business of the Year. Cellar Door Tastings and Sales. We hold cellar door tastings and sales all year round, where visitors can sample and buy our range of refreshing beers that are rich and complex in flavour. To recreate unique style beers, we import American hops and yeasts and European Specialty Malts to complement our Australian malts. |

Cooking with Company The Company Farm is an 8.2 hectare property growing specialised produce for a small group of restaurants. The farm grows and provides most of the vegetables, herbs and fruit for the cooking classes, with excess produce sold at the local farmers markets and to a few restaurants, local and in Sydney. The philosophy at the farm has always been to grow all produce in the ground and practice organic methods rather than hydroponics. We are also proud to feature seasonal produce from local suppliers in the area in our cooking classes.
The commercial grade kitchen accommodates 8 to 10 people in each class. Our classes are run weekly, including weekends, and last for 4 hours. This includes the preparation of the dishes, then the opportunity to sit around the dining table enjoying the meal (and the view!) with a glass of wine. All recipes are supplied. Guest chefs are regulars at Cooking with Company, with small classes, everyone has the opportunity to work closely and side-by-side with the

Cowarra Dam Public Art Project. The Cowarra Dam Public Art Project commissioned local indigenous artists to create public artworks that acknowledged and paid respect to Aboriginal cultural heritage reflected the importance of water to life and enhanced the dam’s public access area. A series of colourful and unique artworks were created which recognise the site’s cultural significance, reflect local identity and create a sense of community ownership of the dam. Ceramic mosaic installations and seating benches comprise four mosaic panels of handmade tiles and two ceramic boomerang viewing benches. The sculptural poles comprise 20 carved and decorated poles, which stand like sentinels overlooking the dam. They were created using recycled timber cleared from the dam site during construction.
A stainless steel sculpture titled The Drip, by Wauchope artist Peter Allison, is appropriately located over the dam’s inlet chute, which channels water into the dam from the pumping station
