Conveniently located just 200 metres off the Pacific Highway in between Taree and Port Macquarie, Moorland Cottage was the first Bakery in Moorland established in 1922.
Visitors can read about the historical significance of the bakery, view the 100-year-old tea room which is full of gifts along with local jams, marmalades, condiments and local goods such as soaps.
Moorland Cottage is known for "The Best Scones On The Coast" however also offers breakfasts, light lunches, substantial meals such as cottage pies, cheesecakes and sweets.
A huge range of Gluten-Free options are available including Gluten-Free Scones served with homemade Many Berry Jam and Fresh Whipped Cream. We also have quite a few vegan options too.
Visitors are welcome to dine in the tea room or undercover dining area on wet days, or enjoy the beautiful gardens and 100-year-old Jacaranda tree on sunny, rain-free days.
The outdoor dining area overlooks farmland where you may see goats, alpacas, sheep or cows. Free-range bantam chickens make the experience unique and relaxing.
