AUSTRALIA DAY EVENTS

Port Macquarie Australia Day Awards
25 January 2018
The Glasshouse  6pm – 8pm 

This FREE event open to everyone to come along and support the members of our local community nominated for a 2018 PMHC Australia Day Award Doors to Glasshouse open from 5.00pm Glasshouse Bar will be open  Doors to Glasshouse Theatre open from 5.45pm  Entertainment by local performers & Awards Presentation  Meet our Australia Day Ambassador Event concludes at 8pm

Port Macquarie Australia Day Ceremony and Activities
Town Green  8am - 5pm

Check out the handicraft, food and variety of market stalls.  Bring the kids along to enjoy the jumping castle and variety of children’s games. On stage entertainment throughout the day. Official Program commences at 3pm and includes a Citizenship Ceremony.  Welcome to Country, Hastings Pipe Band, Flag Raising by PMQ 1st Sea Scouts. Come along and meet our Australia Day Ambassador.  Event concludes at 5.00pm 

Port Macquarie Australia Day Aquatic Activities
Hastings River Foreshore Town Green   10am – 2pm 

Line the foreshore and watch the flotilla of craft pass by on the Hastings River at Lady Nelson Wharf  Activities include boat races between local SLSC Boat Crew & Dragon Boaters, Jet ski demonstration, mock rescue  Dress up your own boat and head out onto the water – Prize for best dressed boat. Jump on board Port Jet Cruise Adventures Discovery I and Discovery II for just $15.00 (adults) $10 (kids) and watch all the activities from the water.

Camden Haven Australia Day Ceremony 
North Brother Mountain  6.45am – 10.00am 

Breakfast on top of North Brother Mountain available from 6.45am Small charge for breakfast (being provided by Laurieton Rotary Club)  Free shuttle bus available from bottom of North Brother Cnr of Bicentenary Drive to top of North Brother Mountain Official program commences at 8.00am and includes a Citizenship Ceremony  Welcome to Country, Camden Haven Concert Band, Flag Raising by Camden Haven Girl Guides Come along and meet our Australia Day Ambassador  Event concludes at 10am 

Wauchope Australia Day Ceremony
Wauchope Showground  8am - 2pm

A variety of children's games, guessing competition and face painter. Aussie Breakfast available from 8am - small charge for breakfast (provided by Wauchope Rotary Club). Sing Australia choir will be performing with other local artists.  Official Program commences at 11am and includes a Citizenship Ceremony. Welcome to Country, Hastings Pipe Band, Flag raising by Wauchope Scouts. Come along and meet our Australia Day Ambassador. Event concludes at 2pm
