Laurieton Seafoods
Head just 30 mins south of the Port Mac CBD and you will find the lovely riverside town of Laurieton. Add this gem to your travel plans for all your seafood needs. Riverside seating available to enjoy the stunning views alongside your steaming fish and chips.
The Chip Shop
A classic style Chip Shop that provides quality fish and chips, burgers, wraps, salads, milkshakes and more. This stop is not far from local beaches so grab it to-go and find a chill spot to feast (Flynns Beach or Town Beach are great spots but you have the whole coast to pick from!).
Off the Hook
Right in the heart of Port Mac you will find this local favourite. Outdoor seating is available or walk a few extra steps and sit at the nearby wharf where you can find some locals fishing or could get lucky and spot a dolphin in the river.
Mikes Seafood
Also located in the Port Macquarie CBD is this locally owned shop. Pop in for a crisp and crunchy battered fish and picnic on the Town Green with riverfront views.
Beechwood Cafe and Bar
Take a scenic drive out to Beechwood in the Hastings Hinterland (just outside of the Wauchope township) and you will find this local spot. Also down the road you will find the Beechwood Hotel for some country pub hospitality.
So, no matter where you are in the region, pop in to one of these stops... just for the Halibut (... yeah, we couldn't stop ourselves).
