Billabong Zoo & Wildlife Park
This is not your average Zoo!
We'll be completely honest with you and say that Zoo's aren't usually our thing. BUT, that was before we went to Billabong Zoo. This multi-generational family-owned Wildlife Park is really something special.
Animal Conservation is their passion and they are the premier captive Koala breeders in the world. The relaxing and spacious grounds provide for a really enjoyable day out with the whole family, and their Zookeeper talks are really interesting.
You can get up-close and personal to Australian and exotic animals. You can pat, stroke, feed, hold, hear and see over 80 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. They care for over 200 animals! Oh, and there's a great cafe and meeting facilities on-site as well as a playground for the kids. Sold!
