With so many producers, artisans and makers in the region, it's no surprise that visitors flock to our towns and villages to sample the best Australia has to offer, and return home loaded with fresh produce, seafood, preserves, sauces, and condiments, as well as plenty of plants, ceramics, art, and more!
Lucky for you, there are markets and agricultural events here every week, and also a variety of farm-gate stands and providores so you can pick your own strawberries fresh off the vine, meet the farmer, eat oysters fresh from the river, and watch your coffee beans roasted while you wait.

Where to find fresh, local veggies
Your first stop should be the Real Food Markets in the Hay St Forecourt in Port Macquarie, open every Tuesday or the Wauchope Farmers' Markets on the fourth Saturday of every month. If you miss out, you can still find plenty of locally produced fruits and vegetables at Kenny Littles on Munster St, the Growers Market on Gordon St, or from Sohip Farm, Masters of Fresh, or Chef to Farmer.
