The Koala Hospital is the world's first hospital dedicated solely to the care and conservation of koalas. The hospital has a treatment room, eight Intensive Care Units, a 24 Hour Rescue operation and multiple recovery yards.
Tours of the facility, educational displays and koala yards are self-guided. Visiting the Koala Hospital is free of charge and the hospital is open 8.30am-4.00pm daily.
At the multiple award-winning Billabong Zoo, you can get up-close and personal to Australian and exotic animals. You can pat, stroke, feed, hold, hear and see over 80 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. They care for over 200 animals in this friendly 10 acre Koala and Wildlife Park.
Hop on the famous Port Macquarie Camel Safaris on Lighthouse Beach. Enjoy a unique and fun filled experience on Port Macquarie’s most beautiful southerly beach aboard one of Australia’s own camels and be delighted with stories, amazing facts and history of this incredible ‘ship of the desert’.
