Where being outdoors does wonders

WATERFALL CHASING WITHOUT THE SWEAT
Some things in winter just make more sense. Like chasing waterfalls and having less sweaty bits. Lucky for you, we’ve got plenty of nature that offers sunshine, views and a good drop of falling water to make you go ‘oooh aaah’.

For those who like to dial their winter up or down, winter saltwater therapy thrills aren’t for the timid or heater hugger. But if you prefer to hang in your trackies and uggs, we won’t judge. That’s the beauty of winter - you can be all outdoorsy or just laid backed indoorsy - even a bit of both. Take a look at what you can get up here in winter.

Winter Whale Watching Season

Winter is prime time for whale watching along the Port Macquarie coast, as the whale migration season generally runs from May to November, with the peak months for spotting whales being from the end of June through July. Tacking Point Lighthouse is a perfect spot to see humpback whales on their migration and with recent accessibility upgrades, it's now easier than ever for everyone to enjoy the view.
