Camping under the stars

A local and visitor favourite is Diamond Head Camp Ground, this beach side campground has excellent camping and picnic facilities. It has sites for motorhomes, caravans, camper vans, camper trailers and tents. There are gas barbecues, picnic shelters and outdoor showers right next to the beach. You'll see plenty of freeloaders like the ones below, making themselves very comfortable :)

Enjoy the serenity of Cobrabald-Wild Bull recreation area where you will find BBQ facilities, toilets and the perfect deep waterhole for a summer dip - also home to some catfish! Just a short drive from Wauchope it's a lovely secluded spot for couples or small groups.

Chasing a Wave?

Point Plomer is an ocean-front National Parks campground is a favourite with surfers, fishos and families. You'll need to get the car ferry across from Settlement Point (the road is unsealed and can be rough), or head south from Crescent Head. Either way, it's worth it!
