Local Government Area Visitor Profiles

Visitor profiles for 92 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across regional NSW and accommodation profiles for 93 LGAs across regional NSW are available. The profiles show the number of visitors to an LGA, broken down by the three key source markets of domestic day-trips, domestic overnight visitors and international visitors. Each source market is measured in terms of the number of visitors, visitor nights and expenditure. To view all profiles click here

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has embarked on a whole of region destination management planning process. The process follows the nationally recognised approach developed by the Australian Regional Tourism Network and focuses on Destination Management as an ongoing process. This process is one in which industry, government and community leaders plan for the future and manage a destination. The National Visitor Survey (NVS) and International Visitor Survey (IVS) highlight information on the characteristics and travel patterns of domestic and international tourists.
